Top 5 Goals Scorers in the History of Football

 As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the list of the top goal-scorers in football history may have changed. However, as of that time, the top five goal-scorers were:


  1. Pele: The Brazilian legend is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He scored over 1,000 career goals, although the exact number is disputed due to variations in friendly matches and unofficial games. Pele's exact goal tally is a subject of debate due to variations in friendly matches and unofficial games.He scored numerous international goals representing Brazil in multiple FIFA World Cups, contributing significantly to Brazil's success in the 1958, 1962, and 1970 tournaments.
         2.Lionel Messi: The Argentine forward, widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation, has consistently been among the top goal-scorers. He has spent the majority of his career with Barcelona, where he became their all-time leading goal-scorer. Messi has consistently been a top scorer for both Barcelona and the Argentina national team. As of 2022, Messi has won multiple FIFA Ballon d'Or awards and has set numerous records for Barcelona, including becoming the club's all-time leading goal-scorer. Messi has scored over 700 career goals for both Barcelona and the Argentina national team combine.
      
        3.Cristiano Ronaldo: Another football superstar, Ronaldo has played for several top clubs,                        including Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Like Messi, he has consistently been              among the top goal-scorers and is known for his incredible goal-scoring ability. Ronaldo has                  been a prolific goal-scorer for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and the Portugal                      national team. He has won several FIFA Ballon d'Or awards and has set records for most goals                in the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo has scored over 700 career goals for clubs such as                  Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and for the Portugal national team.

        4.Ferenc Puskas: The Hungarian forward was a star for both Hungary and Real Madrid. Puskas             was known for his prolific goal-scoring and played a significant role in Real Madrid's success                 during the 1950s. Puskas played for both Hungary and Real Madrid, earning acclaim for his goal-           scoring prowess. He scored numerous international goals and was part of the iconic Real Madrid             team that dominated European football in the 1950s. Puskas scored over 700 career goals during             his playing career with clubs like Honved and Real Madrid, as well as representing Hungary. 
     
        5.  Gerd Muller: The German striker was a goal-scoring machine during his career, particularly            with Bayern Munich. Muller was a key figure in Germany's 1974 World Cup-winning team and is          considered one of the greatest goal-scorers in football history. Muller was known for his goal-                scoring exploits with Bayern Munich and the German national team. He played a crucial role in              Germany's 1974 World Cup victory and was a prolific scorer in both international and domestic              competitions. Muller scored over 600 career goals during his time with clubs like Bayern Munich          and the German national team.
